Independence Day Celebrations
Boone County is buzzing with festivities this Independence Week, offering something for every age and interest. From carnival rides and concerts to parades and fireworks, here’s your guide to the best ways to celebrate
In Lebanon, the Boone County 4th of July Carnival runs July 1–4 at Memorial Park, featuring rides, food vendors, live music, and a cornhole tournament on July 2. On July 4, the downtown parade kicks off at 1:00 p.m., followed by a fireworks celebration mural and a grand fireworks display at 10:00 p.m. at Lebanon Middle School.
Zionsville’s 4th of July celebration returns to Lions Park on July 4 with food, bounce houses, games, and a fireworks show at 10:00 p.m. Whitestown’s Independence Day celebration invites families to Eagle Church on July 3 for an evening of carnival-style food, inflatables, and live music from Toy Factory before fireworks light up the sky at dusk. Meanwhile, in Thorntown, Tom Johnson Memorial Park will host a small-town celebration on July 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., featuring live music from Bodacious, games, food vendors, and a classic community BBQ atmosphere. Heavenly Acres Farm will also be hosting a fireworks display on July 3rd at their farm, welcoming everyone to an evening of fun and excitement.
