Bite Into Boone- a summer culinary experience!

Bite Into Boone is Boone County’s exciting new summer dining trail — and you’re invited to take a big bite out of everything local! From May through August, we’re celebrating the best restaurants, flavors, and food experiences across the county. Whether you’re a local foodie or just visiting for the day, this is your chance to explore delicious new spots and support our amazing culinary scene.

Each month brings a new theme and new flavors to enjoy:

• May – Sizzle into Summer: Kick off the summer with a mouthwatering celebration of all things grilled! Local restaurants will feature sizzling burgers, BBQ, and grilled specialties. From classic burgers to inventive grilled dishes, this month is all about enjoying food prepared over the open flame while celebrating the start of the warm season.
• June – Taste the Outdoors: As the weather heats up, it’s the perfect time to dine al fresco. In June, we highlight the best outdoor dining spots in Boone County. Local restaurants with patios, outdoor seating, and picturesque views will showcase their offerings. Whether it’s brunch on the patio or a sunset dinner, we encourage guests to enjoy meals under the open sky — and yes, many of these spots are pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry dining companion along!
• July – Fresh Flavors of Summer: July brings a celebration of fresh ingredients and seasonal flavors throughout Boone County. Local restaurants will highlight dishes made with peak-of-the-season produce and locally sourced ingredients, offering a true taste of summer. We’re also shining a light on Boone County’s farmers markets — perfect spots to explore vibrant fruits, veggies, and handmade goodies while supporting local makers. Whether you’re dining out or cooking at home, this month is all about enjoying fresh food and community connections.
• August – BBQs of Boone: Boone County is home to some of the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi, and August is the perfect time to celebrate it! From slow-smoked ribs and savory pulled pork to saucy brisket and creative BBQ sides, local restaurants will be serving up their most mouthwatering barbecue dishes all month long. We’ll be highlighting the area’s top BBQ spots and encouraging guests to sample their way through Boone County’s smoky, saucy scene. Come hungry — this month is all about bold flavors and backyard vibes!

It’s easy (and fun!) to join the trail. Visit participating restaurants, try their featured items, and complete a quick online form for each visit to enter our monthly gift card giveaways.
