Pumpkin Picking at Dull’s Tree Farm
No fall experience is complete without a visit to Dull’s Tree Farm! Throughout October, Dull’s Pumpkin Harvest attracts people from all around the state to find that perfect pumpkin and enjoy a day with the family. The pumpkin harvest features hayrides, corn maze, donuts, hot cider, and more! This is a great place to make lasting fall memories here in Boone County.
Get Scared at Indy Fear Farm
Experience heart-pounding thrills and spine-chilling scares of Indy Fear Farm’s Hollywood-style Haunted Hayride and the infamous Slaughter Barn. Join them every weekend in October for unforgettable live entertainment that will leave you screaming for more!
Family Friendly Halloween Fun
Enjoy an evening in downtown Lebanon on the square with family and friends at Mischief on Meridian! On October 26th, work your way around the square filling your bag full of candy while you gaze upon all the great costumes and street performers. Don’t forget to enter the costume contest, stop by to pet a spooky creature or wander down the Halloween Alley!
In Whitestown, you’ll find the annual Halloween Trick of Treat Trail at Anson Acres Park. All ages are invited to walk their spooky trail, trick or treat at local businesses, and roast s’mores on October 26th.
Lions Park in Zionsville is also feeling the Halloween spirits with the family friendly Pumpkins and Hayrides event. There will be plenty of family friendly activities, pumpkins, and hayride on October 27th!
The town of Jamestown is also getting in on the Halloween fun with Halloween at the Park. With trick or treating in the park, costume contest, and food and beverages, spend your Halloween evening from 5:30-8:00pm over in Jamestown.
Boone County Boos and Brews
Prepare for a spooky month-long celebration here in Boone County! There are some amazing restaurants, distilleries, breweries across Boone County and we invite you to discover them all month long. On October 24th, grab a costume, gather your friends, and visit participating businesses for a night of truly frightful fun with wonderfully haunted drink specials, games, costume contests, and more. Explore Seasonal Flavors And Fall Colors
Fall is a time for comfort food, and Boone County has no shortage of cozy eateries serving up seasonal delights. Don’t miss out on local favorites like pumpkin pie at My Sugar Pie in Ziosnville. Take a trip to Moontown Brewing Company in Whitestown for a seasonal beer with friends and a delicious burger. Or grab a coffee at one of many great local coffee spots and walk through historic downtown areas all across the county.
Take a walk through Zionsville, known as the town within a park, and enjoy a brilliant display of fall colors throughout town and along their parks and trails. Bring your bike and hit the Rail Trail, connecting Zionsville to Whitestown and Lebanon to Thorntown. This not only offers a great way to experience fall foliage, but a great way to explore the county.
Get Ready for the Holiday Season
Towards the end of fall, start getting in the Boone County holiday sprit! Christmas in the Village in Zionsville kicks off over small business weekend of with the annual Christmas in the Village Parade and Santa House Selfies on Main Street. Take the time to wander along Zionsville’s historic brick Main Street, stopping in to many of the unique shops and dining experiences for a day of holiday shopping with friends.
Enjoy a local shopping experience with Winter Market in Whitestown. This indoor market features vendors offering handmade goods, baked treats, and homemade crafts on November 16th. You can also visit Santa’s Workshop in Whitestown starting on November 30th.
The Jamestown Lions Club will be hosting the Tree Lighting in the Park with carriage rides, hot chocolate and tree lighting.
