Starting at 3:06pm, Boone County will experience up to nearly 3.5 minutes of a total solar eclipse!

We’re excited to welcome people near and far to Get Mooned in Boone with us this April! For the first time in 819 years, Boone County will experience a total solar eclipse, perfectly positioned in the path of totality. As the moon passes between the sun and earth, the sky will darken as if it were dusk for up to nearly 3.5 minutes!

The night before the Solar Eclipse, the Boone 4H Fairgrounds will come alive with a spectacular laser light show set to the powerful music of Pink Droyd, the Midwest’s premier Pink Floyd tribute band!
