Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival Sept 6-8

The Zionsville Lions Club is gearing up for its much-anticipated Fall Festival, set to take place from September 6-8 in the heart of Zionsville. This beloved community event has been a staple in the town’s calendar for years, drawing families and visitors from across the region to celebrate the changing seasons with a weekend full of fun and festivities. Held in the picturesque setting of Lions Park, the festival offers something for everyone, from exciting carnival rides to live entertainment, ensuring that it remains a cherished tradition for all who attend.

This year, the Fall Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a lineup of events that will keep attendees entertained from morning until night. The weekend kicks off on Friday with the VIP Carnival, a special event for families with special needs co-hosted by The HAWK Foundation, offering a welcoming and inclusive experience. This event is followed by the opening of Poor Jack’s Amusement Rides, where the bright lights and thrilling attractions are sure to delight both young and old, setting the stage for an unforgettable weekend at the Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival.

Saturday’s festivities will feature the famous Lions Club Parade, a colorful procession that winds through downtown Zionsville, showcasing local businesses, school bands, and community organizations. The parade is a highlight of the weekend, bringing together the entire town in a joyous celebration of community spirit.

In addition to the rides and parade, the festival will offer a wide range of activities for all ages. Families can enjoy the children’s area, filled with games and other kid-friendly attractions. Local vendors will be on hand throughout the weekend, offering a variety of food, crafts, and goods, making it easy for visitors to find a unique souvenir or a tasty treat to enjoy as they stroll through the park. The festival will also feature live music performances from local bands, adding to the lively atmosphere and providing the perfect soundtrack for a weekend of fun.

On Saturday night of the Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival, the festivities continue with the Lions Lounge, an adults-only event that promises fun for the young at heart. Starting at 5 p.m. with a lively trivia contest, the evening kicks off in the Entertainment Tent, nestled in the middle of Lions Park. At 7 p.m., the Impalas will take the stage, providing the perfect soundtrack for a night of mingling and dancing the night away. The Lions Lounge offers craft beer and wine selections, along with festival food favorites, creating a laid-back atmosphere where festivalgoers can unwind after a day of fun. Whether you’re catching up with friends or dusting off your dancing shoes, the Lions Lounge provides a vibrant yet intimate space to make the most of your Saturday night at the Fall Festival.

New this year at the Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival is a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds benefiting the Lions Club’s various community and park projects. On Sunday morning at 10 a.m., festivalgoers can join the “Dance in the Park” event with Dance Fit Squad for a free workout to start the day off right. Later, Notable Measures will perform to raise funds for music education in Indiana and beyond. The Zionsville Parks Foundation will also give a presentation on “Nature In Our Community” at 12:30 p.m., where they will be handing out Spicebush plants to attendees. Pet lovers won’t want to miss the fun pet exposition at 2:30 p.m. hosted by the Zionsville High School Key Club, where you can bring your pet to show off their favorite trick or costume.

Returning on Sunday is the popular American Dream Car Show, featuring nearly 100 classic cars from all over, competing for trophies. It’s a favorite among car enthusiasts and a great way to admire beautifully restored vehicles while enjoying the festival atmosphere.

The Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of the community and a testament to the town’s strong sense of togetherness. The festival is organized entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds going towards supporting the Lions Club’s charitable initiatives, including vision screenings, youth programs, and scholarships. As the festival weekend approaches, the excitement in Zionsville is palpable, with residents and visitors alike eagerly anticipating the chance to come together and create new memories at this cherished annual event.
