
Pleasant Acres Nature Park
Pleasant Acres Nature Park is a small, peaceful park in Boone County offering a relaxing setting for visitors of all ages. The park features picnic tables, kid-friendly trails, and public restroom facilities, making it ideal for family outings and casual strolls. It is also home to one of Boone County’s iconic Walking Man Sculptures.
Visitors can enjoy a shelter house, an overlook, and a gazebo, surrounded by plantings of native flowers and trees. Trail and foliage markers help guide guests as they explore the park’s natural beauty. In addition, the park planted 500 native trees last year and plans to do so again this year, further enhancing the landscape and supporting local wildlife. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and businesses interested in supporting ongoing conservation efforts.
The park’s development has been a community effort over the years. This beloved community space continues to thrive thanks to the dedication and ongoing support of the Town of Jamestown staff and local contributors, making it a welcoming destination for both residents and visitors.
